When we started out with our unschooling journey, we felt a little like knights in shining armor freeing ourselves from our own self-imposed shackles. Hence the name of the blog.

when it rains it pours....

Zoya is Ravi's ardent fan... she will dream about him and wake up in the night and ask if Nana is still at work and when he will be home. During these 3 weeks that we've been in Bangalore, she has missed him but has not been upset because of Maya's presence. So when Ravi visited Bangalore for a few days at christmas she mostly stayed close to him. So i think this photo is testimony... to King Nana and his princess.

i do believe that if it had not been for my mom and dad's insistence we would never have made it to the studio to capture this rare gathering of our family. Both sisters are pregnant and due in the next few weeks. Doubly special.

Pictures of the lovely Christmas tree and the Gingerbread Train that we all decorated. Sushma, my sister, bought most of the decorations and we made a star at home with some foil and mom added some decorations she bought while still living in Abu Dhabi. Raghu had wanted a Christmas tree and gingerbread ... so we planned for it during our US trip. The girls loved decorating the train... and ate bits of icing and candy while doing it. Mom added white, puffed rice to the ground... looks like hail-stones... but gives the general effect :-)

"Doof" as he is affectionately called by Maya and Zoya is my younger sister's husband. Zoya loves hanging out with Nikhil... usually on him :-)
