When we started out with our unschooling journey, we felt a little like knights in shining armor freeing ourselves from our own self-imposed shackles. Hence the name of the blog.

Raghu is excited to count down days to his birthday early next year.  I say this so often... 'can't believe how time flies'.  He will be 8 soon.  Raghu's sense of humor is getting a workout these days.  He has been making unusual word associations, telling us jokes he works on in private, and just giving us all a good laugh.

Zoya is cycling so confidently.  I love the walk-a-bike.... one of several versions out there is here: http://www.bootscootbikes.com/  Mine came to me from my German friend, Britt... ever grateful to her for introducing it to us.  Zoya unfortunately has been too tall for this category for more than a year.  But we've always kept her bike height so that her feet can reach the floor.  This makes her feel balanced and confident.

Snowy is such a pleasure to watch. The kids are in love with her.  Raghu comes for my morning 10 minute walk with Snowy.  He loves running her up and down the street (while i hold the leash as Snowy is still very scared of the street level noise, traffic, street dogs etc and will dart around unexpectedly.  Zoya plays special hide and seek games and will give Snowy water, treats, select toys from her stash that Snowy can chew on etc.
